AIAM-New name for SHM Program

Starting August 1, 2026 (Academic Year 115), SHM will officially change its name to AIAM.

Since its establishment on August 1, 2021 (Academic Year 111), The Master Program in Smart Healthcare Mangement (SHM) has emphasized learning and application across healthcare, technology, and management in its teaching and research. In line with the trend of artificial intelligence applications, it has received approval from the Ministry of Education to change its name to AIAM (The Master Program in Artificial Intelligence Applications and Management) and will continue to enroll international students. The curriculum scope has expanded from focusing on the application of technology in the medical field to include diverse fields such as business, management, and information technology, strengthening interdisciplinary integration and practical application orientation.

The new program adopts a T-shaped interdisciplinary integrated curriculum design, combining three key areas: AI technology, management practice, and application, cultivating students with both technical depth and application breadth. The curriculum covers machine learning, big data analysis, AI project management, smart healthcare, and fintech, assisting students in flexibly applying artificial intelligence to industry, healthcare, and society.

Graduates will receive a Master Degree of Management Science (M.M.S.) and can further pursue a doctoral degree or enter key industries such as AI applications, smart healthcare, and fintech. In response to the global shortage of AI talent and the wave of digital transformation, the AIAM program will continue to apply for the Ministry of Education's INTENSE Program, integrating resources from the Ministry of Education, the National Development Council, and businesses to support tuition and living expenses. This will encourage international students to enroll in the AIAM program, cultivate them into interdisciplinary professionals with expertise in artificial intelligence technology or applications, innovative thinking, and problem-solving abilities, and encourage them to stay in Taiwan for employment after graduation. This will enhance National Taipei University's international competitiveness and social contribution in the field of artificial intelligence education.
